School Information
"College of Eastern Idaho (CEI, formerly EITC) is Idaho's newest comprehensive community college. CEI now offers academic associate of arts and science degrees with transferable general education credits. Another new opportunity is Early College Programs for high school students. CEI continues to offer career technical programs, basic skills instruction, workforce training and continuing education, and online learning. CEI maintains its fully accredited status by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The College was created in 1969 to serve citizens in a nine-county service area. Now CEI's mission enlarges to provide affordable, open-access, and quality education for all of eastern Idaho." General Information
The college has taken steps to embed elements of critical race theory into its curriculum. The college's mandatory class had one activity which asked students to list examples of white and male privilege. See developments below:

  •  The Mission of the Diversity Committee at CEI is to "increase leadership skills, provide academic and personal growth opportunities, and promote access and equity in higher education for the Falcon Family." Additionally, its goals include "inclusivity" and "cultural awareness."
  • CEI's Code of Ethics policy states that the college is "committed to the principle of treating each community member with respect and dignity while embracing diversity and fostering an environment of inclusivity."
  • CEI's Diversity Committee "meets on the first Thursday of each month."

  • CEI's Unity Committee states the following regarding diversity: "Everything the College of Eastern Idaho offers is aimed at embracing the diversity of the student body. By fostering a broad understanding of cultural awareness and appreciation, inclusion and representation become a natural extension of the student body.
