"Davis & Elkins College is a private, accredited NCAA Division II school. It is a member of the Appalachian College Association and is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).   • Program and Research Funding

    On July 12, 2021, the college announced, "Davis and Elkins College has been selected for a 2021-2022 Equity and Inclusion Colleges of Distinction honor for its dedication to providing support to underrepresented students."

  • Symbolic Actions

    On October 14, 2021, the college announced that, "Davis and Elkins College Director of Career Services Christopher Jones will be among presenters at the Texas Association of Diversity Officers In Higher Education (TADOHE) Fall Summit Thursday, Oct. 14."

  • Anti-Racism, Bias, and Diversity Training

    Davis and Elkins launched a President's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. As part of this initiative, "multiple sessions of professional development, student workshops and public programming have occurred" and an "interactive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion resource page" was created.

  • Curriculum Changes and Requirements

    The Education Degree features "instruction that fosters academic, social, and emotional development in students from diverse backgrounds and diverse needs."
