"Davis & Elkins College is a private, accredited NCAA Division II school. It is a member of the Appalachian College Association and is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Located in the arts community of Elkins, West Virginia, the campus borders the beautiful Monongahela National Forest" (Source: https://www.dewv.edu/about/). Founded in 1904, the college offers 39 undergraduate programs, featuring a student to faculty ratio of 13 to 1. The 172 acre campus hosts over 750 students.

Anti-Racism, Bias, and Diversity Training
  • Davis and Elkins launched a President's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. As part of this initiative, "multiple sessions of professional development, student workshops and public programming have occurred" and an "interactive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion resource page" was created.
Resources
  • On July 12, 2021, the college announced, "Davis and Elkins College has been selected for a 2021-2022 Equity and Inclusion Colleges of Distinction honor for its dedication to providing support to underrepresented students."
  • On October 14, 2021, the college announced that, "Davis and Elkins College Director of Career Services Christopher Jones will be among presenters at the Texas Association of Diversity Officers In Higher Education (TADOHE) Fall Summit Thursday, Oct. 14."
  • The Education Degree features "instruction that fosters academic, social, and emotional development in students from diverse backgrounds and diverse needs."
  • The Forest Technology program at the college "promote[s] a high level of professional ethics while engaging and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of forestry and in public relations."
