- Located in the northernmost point of Alaska, Iḷisaġvik College is a two-year tribal college offering quality post-secondary academic, vocational and technical education aimed at matching workforce needs. We are dedicated to perpetuating and strengthening Iñupiat culture, language, values and traditions.

In 2019, the Lumina Foundation’s Fund for Racial Justice and Equity awarded Iḷisaġvik a $50,000 grant to research "Indigenous self-determination and racial equity." The grant also funded "the development of a program that seeks to expand the Indigenous knowledge base of all who serve Iḷisaġvik students."

According to the 2024 Ilisagvik Impact Sheet, the college has "Equity and Extension programs supported by 1994 Land Grant funding programs." The Equity Program "supports science instruction at the college, including outreach and research opportunities for students."
