"Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA is the oldest Catholic-Franciscan college in United States. Our mission is to help students grow into compassionate, successful professionals through a culture of faith, generosity, respect, discovery and joy. The University offers more than 50 programs (undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree) through three schools: Business; Health Sciences & Education; and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics (STEAM)." General Information
St. Francis University has taken steps to provide anti-racist resources to its students and faculty. The university will be hosting the "Journey in Becoming Anti-Racist: A Franciscan Call" Zoom event, as part of its endowment series. No mandatory Critical Race Training sessions are yet required of students. However, see developments below:

Curriculum Changes and Requirements
  • All students are subject to the diversity requirement which mandates that one diversity class is taken.
Resources
  • The university will be hosting the "Journey in Becoming Anti-Racist: A Franciscan Call" Zoom event, as part of its endowment series.
  • The school has an Office of Diversity and Inclusion which serves to “offer programming and activities that promote the development of students to take their place as world citizens.”
  • There are student groups which “promote diversity and inclusion on many levels” such as the Fusing, Empowering, and Embracing Diversity - FEED Club.
