"Opened in 1956 through the stimulus of the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur and a group of dedicated lay people in partnership with the Diocese of Dallas, the University of Dallas is a Catholic institution welcoming students of all faiths. Offering a comprehensive list of bachelor's, master's, doctoral and continuing education programs, the university attracts highly motivated students from throughout the nation and the world. UD currently enrolls more than 1,400 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students from across the U.S. and the world. The university has been consistently ranked as one of the top regional universities and enjoys a spot in the list of the top 10 Catholic colleges in the West by U.S. News & World Report and in the top 15 Catholic colleges nationwide by Forbes. The university offers 27 undergraduate majors and 20 graduate programs.
General Information
The University of Dallas has created a student club for Student Leaders for Racial Solidarity. Furthermore, scholarships for diverse students are being offered. At this time, no mandatory Critical Race Training is required. See developments below:

Program and Research Funding
  • UD's Office of Financial Aid offers a variety of scholarships "specifically to support first-generation and students from underrepresented communities " and includes the "National Hispanic Scholarship" and the "Hispanic Catholic Bibilical [sic] Scholarship."
Resources
  • On February 1, 2021, the university held an event titled, "Christian Identity and Witness in Time of Racial and Social Conflict."
  • The university's library offers resources on DEI.
Symbolic Actions
  • On February 8, 2021, the university announced the creation of the Student Leaders for Racial Solidarity student club.
