"Truett McConnell has been equipping leaders through a Biblically-centered education for more than 70 years. Over 50 programs of study are offered. Founded in 1946, the university has a student to faculty ratio of 10 to 1. Its total undergraduate enrollment measures at approximately 2,800 students.
General Information
In 2020, Truett released a statement on George Floyd as well as an article discussing diversity. The university also offers some courses that discuss diversity. However, the university has not engaged in any anti-racist initiatives. At this time, no required Critical Race Training is being mandated. See developments below:

Faculty/Staff Requirements
  • The Teacher’s Handbook discusses diversity at length in nearly every component and disposition. It is reinforced that teachers are required to be an embodiment of diversity values.
Resources
  • Truett has listed out its “Diversity Principles” for teachers.
  • In the International Society for Technology in Education conference, the school illustrated “how to use Google Expedition to cultivate cultural diversity in schools that are not culturally diverse.”
  • In the Industrial and Organizational Psychology concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, one area of study is “Workplace Diversity.”
Symbolic Actions
  • On July 6, 2020, Truett released an article titled, "We Can Be United in the Midst of Our Diversity."
  • On June 5, 2020, the university released a statement on the death of George Floyd.
