General Information
Students took most of the initiative in UVU's anti-racist programming. In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the university recently hosted a week of workshops, an "Afrofuturism" art installation, and a keynote speech. No mandatory Critical Race Training sessions are yet required of students. However, see developments below:

  • UVU offers DEI seminars and workshops.
Resources

  • The university provided a library guide to anti-racism resources along with its "statement of purpose."
  • The university provides "Bias Educational Resources," including books, films, and podcasts.
Symbolic Actions
  • University Planning and Effectiveness announced its commitment to anti-racism efforts.
  • The "Inclusion Plan" for 2020-2024 was recently released. There are "four objectives, 10 goals, and 75 strategic actions" UVU wishes to implement over the next few years.
