"Founded in 1955, Covenant College is a Christian liberal arts college that exists to explore and express the preeminence of Jesus Christ in all things" (Source: https://www.covenant.edu/about/). Covenant has 846 total undergraduate students and 57 total faculty. The student to faculty ratio is 12 to 1. Originating in Pasadena, California, the campus now sits in Lookout Mountain, Georgia and is 400 acres. Furthermore, Covenant College has accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
General Information
Covenant College has a Multicultural Program and also has a requirement of diversity courses as part of the distribution requirements. At this time, no mandatory Critical Race Training is required of students. However, see developments below:

Actions Taken

Curriculum Changes and Requirements
  • Covenant College has a Diversity Requirement in its curriculum for all Baccalaureate Degrees. (2023-2024 Course Catalog)
  • All students at the college are required to take the "Intercultural Learning Experience" course which "offers an opportunity for experiential learning using the action-­reflection model as students experience a cross­-cultural environment."
Resources
  • Covenant College has a Multicultural Program which provides students with resources for celebrating "cultural or ethnic minorities." This is done through programs such as "Conversations about Culture and Race."
