Founded in 1916, Dickinson State has over 1,400 students enrolled. The school's student to faculty ratio is 12 to 1. DSU has 75 fields of study.

Dickinson has created a Multicultural Committee. No evidence of CRT in the curriculum exists; however, numerous events are held where students, faculty, and staff discuss issues pertaining to DEI. See developments below:

Anti-Racism, Bias, and Diversity Training
  • The school states that, "At DSU, we provide meaningful programs that advance diversity education and cultural competence."
  • The "Courageous Conversations" initiative at DSU is a yearly event that "encourages respectful dialogue by exploring misunderstandings about diversity and sharing stories to generate positive social change."
Resources
  • As part of its initiatives for inclusion and equity, Dickinson State has created a Multicultural Committee which offers "student-centered events" that "are designed to challenge hidden bias and break barriers." Two series of events are offered, one titled "Global Table" and another titled "Courageous Conversations."
  • DSU commits that it will "highlight campus organizations that provide services related to diversity and inclusion."
