General Information
Valencia College previously had provided multiple resources for its students following the death of George Floyd. The college had hosted a virtual series on social justice, focusing on "racial wealth gaps, human trafficking, immigration and civil rights". No mandatory Critical Race Training sessions are required of students. In 2023, the school committed to stopping anti-racist teachings following the new DeSantis law. See developments below:

Political Actions and Support for Anti-Racism
  • On January 29, 2023, Valencia College committed to halting diversity training for faculty in order to abide by what is termed as the “Stop Woke” act, which is the new Florida law put in place by Republican Gov. DeSantis.
