General Information
Valencia College has provided multiple resources for its students following the death of George Floyd. Most recently, the college has hosted a virtual series on social justice, focusing on "racial wealth gaps, human trafficking, immigration and civil rights". No mandatory Critical Race Training sessions are yet required of students. However, see developments below:

  • The library website has a list of resources intended to help parents talk to their kids about race, racism, and racial justice.
Anti-Racism, Bias, and Diversity Training
  • The college is offering the "Equity-minded Practice Series," in which faculty learns about "culturally responsive pedagogies and curricula; racialized patterns in the classroom; trauma-informed pedagogy; recognizing intersectionalities; and equity-minded assessment."
Resources
  • The college's Peace and Justice Institute has hosted a virtual series on social justice, focusing on "racial wealth gaps, human trafficking, immigration and civil rights".
  • The college updated a list of anti-racism resources for students and faculty as of March 2022.
